Ray Reeder, Chairman

Ray Reeder was Director of American Councils,Armenia office, for 6 years.  American Councils collaborates with Armenia'sschool system on education and language studies.
Mr. Reeder has aslo served as a consultant on education and environment projects conducted for OSCE and the Armenian Apostolic Church.  As a  Business Consultant for the United States Peace Corps,  he taught Junior Achievement Economics for 2 semesters. Mr. Reeder has an engineering degree.  He has 20 years business experience and 11 years experience as an engineer in industry. 


Anahit Bakhshyan
Deputy Director of National Institute of Education

Anahit Bakhshyan has a very rich backround in eduction.  She is currently the deputy director of the Educational Reform Institute of the Minsitry of Education.  From 1990 to 2007, she was the principal of school #27 where she collabrated with a number of novel programs including Junior Achievement of Armenia.  Mrs. Balhsyan is a recongized educator and has advocated for religious studies in schools, for inclusinve education and for civic eduction.  In 2007, she was elected as a member of Parliament representing the Heritage political party.  After serving a term of 5 years, she moved on the Yerevan City Council where she currently serves.  She has three daughters and seven grand children. 



Arshavir Kapoudjian
Bible Society

Arshavir Movses Kapoudjian was born in Beirut, Lebanon.  He graduated from the Theological Seminary, Catholocosate of Cilicia, Antelias, Lebanon. His Graduation thesis was History of Sebeos. He also translated the 7th century Armenian historian Bishop Sebeos’ History of the Armenian Church and People, from classical Armenian to modern Western Armenian, with introduction and annotation (published in 1990).

After his graduation, he served as assistant dean of the Theological Seminary, Catholicosate of Cilicia (1978-1984). In 1984 he was appointed as the dean of the Theological Seminary. In 1995 he moved to Armenia and maintained the following responsibilities: lecturer at member of the  faculty of Theology, Yerevan State University; Vazguenian Theological Seminary, Sevan; Director of the Christian Education Center, Araratian Patriarchal Diocese (1996-1998); Executive Director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies (1998-2000); Director of Information Services, Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin (2000-2001); Lecturer at Kevorkian Theological Seminary, Holy Etchmiadzin; Project Director of the Bible Society of Armenia, 2001-Present. Mr. Kapoudjian has participated in more than 50 theological and social conferences in Armenia and abroad, he is the  author of 3 books, and number of articles on biblical and social issues published in Armenia
and Lebanon.
